I installed this on my girlfriend's old Windows 8 era laptop because she refuses to buy a new one. It originally came with 4GB, of which 3.2GB could be used. So imagine how small that is for today's computing usage. Adding another 4GB made her laptop much faster and able to keep up with modern apps and tabbed browsing. The modules are compatible with my Lenovo laptop and have an increased speed. memory modules. You will get 1 x 4GB. To make matters worse, the description in the table comparing this product to others shows 4GB of storage BUT the size is 8GB. If you want to expand your laptop by 8GB, please order two modules. Advertising must be modified to accurately reflect what the consumer is getting.

I ordered 2 sticks and when I received them I noticed they weren't made in the same country. The one that says "Made in the Philippines" works great. The other one that says "Made in China" doesn't work. When both are hosted on the mobo, the BIOS/Windows will only see 4GB (while applications like cpu-z will see the entire 8GB). This could be because my computer needs 1.35V memory and CPU-Z recognizes that the non-working memory is only 1.5V.

I don't *love* it but I give it five stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Increase my system memory by 4GB. I *love* this - it seems to be quality RAM and it's a perfect match for another module on my system (which is what I wanted). I have always had success in purchasing Samsung products. I would buy this RAM again.

I have two RAM slots in an old HpTouchsmart. Each slot had 1GB of RAM for a total of 2GB. I took out a stick of Ram and installed this 4GB flash drive in its place (leaving the second stick that was already there). The computer did not recognize the new flash drive. It has shrunk to 1GB. I realized that when flash drives are of different brands, the computer recognizes only one of them. So I removed both old sticks and just put this new Samsung in a slot.
