Adjust write speed

I first copied a 1.1GB file from my computer to a USB drive at about 20MB/s, but then after the first fifth of the file was transferred, the speed dropped to 3 - 6MB/sec. Worse than my old 8GB Lexar, which maintained a steady 7MB/s the entire time. It seems like SankDisk has stopped quality control, especially since many customers are reporting strange heat issues on pricier models.

Pros
  • Brilliantly done
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Fast and secure for computers and accessories

Much faster than traditional discs. I use one to transfer any files I want between home and work attached to my house keys. I also use it to copy pictures from my phone to my computer. I use another for music in my 2014 jeep. The Jeep Uconnect 8.4's navigation head is pathetically slow, taking too long to scan even fast SD cards, but with this drive it can usually resume music playback after a few minutes. This is a huge improvement over the 10 minutes it takes to decide if a "fast" SD card is…

Not recognized on Samsung Galaxy S8

I bought these to make it easier for my wife and I to transfer photos from Samsung Galaxy S8 phones to PC but our phones don't recognize the devices. I connected them using the Micro USB to Type-C adapter that came with our phones, but neither phone recognizes the flash drive. I checked if OTG is supported on phones. It's useless to us if I can't use them on our phones. Flash drives are recognized on our PCs with the same Micro USB to Type-C adapter, so I know the adapter will work.

  • Acceptable

  • No reminder

I trust SanDisk for storage

Great product, like all my SanDisk purchases. All my hardware has SanDisk CF, SD and Micro SD chips. Impeccable performance. Saving or transferring from my Android phone to an external drive for backup is no problem. Sorry folks, I think cloud storage leads to hacking, theft and data corruption. I'll hold my files in my hands in my fireproof vault. Tiny portable format. Just slide the button on the side for micro USB or vice versa for USB 3.0.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are some nuances

3.0 is faster than my 2.0. It is important!

Plenty of space for photos, documents, videos from your phone. It took me some time to get used to my phone. I find it easier with a laptop. Once I got used to it, it was easy to use with the phone. A good device to store photos or documents for both or transfer to one or both. Works well, I bought two others

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Disappears
