Good card, decent speed

My wife is a YouTube vlogger and content creator. She always complains about how long it takes to transfer her videos from SD card to her Mac. I looked at her SD cards and saw that she was buying 40MB/s cards. I quickly explained the data rate to her and her eyes glazed over. So I bought this card for her instead. The cards work great but my wife didn't notice any increase in the time it took to transfer videos to her computer. I haven't tested this to be sure, but I expect at least a somewhatโ€ฆ

Works fine for 4k video on my Panasonic 991k

later I bought the 128GB version of this card hoping it would work with my Panasonic 991 4k camcorder. I looked at a few cards that advertised extreme speeds, but if you look closely they didn't have a sustained write speed that could handle the demands of 4k recording. I'm happy to report that this card works really well with 4k videos. It's Class 10 and U3, which means it meets the minimum requirements for most consumer 4k recorders. The price was very reasonable too, actually less than theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • understandable even for the old
Cons
  • I'll write

At first I was happy to find such a cheap option with a write speed of 90MB/s. But after reading the first part of the product description, I found that they can only achieve write speeds of up to 60MB/s. Well 60MB/s is still great at this price so I ordered two! The cards arrived today so I decided to test one of them. I tested the card and found that it writes at less than 50MB/s. So I looked closely at the specs and found that only the 128GB and 256GB versions of the card ran up to 60MB/sโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • For old

Very fast card, but not always

Preface: You probably don't need this card if you're just an amateur/casual photographer or if you need it for a handheld device like the Nintendo 3DS. I would just take something cheaper. I don't usually write reviews because I'm too lazy, but since this is a new map and there aren't any reviews, I decided to chime in. A little background about me... I'm a mid-range photographer/videographer shooting mostly 1080p/24fps and 1080p/60fps video with a Canon 70D, so I can't really comment on 4kโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Sandisk cards were reliable and affordable

After some bad experiences with some other memory cards and flash drives I will only buy Sandisk or Samsung Memory. I use this with my Sony A6300 and it works great for many RAW files as well as 4K video capture. I actually prefer 32GB cards, so I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket, but shooting RAW can fill your cards up quickly, so 64GB is always nice to give you some extra storage. I don't know how buying Western Digital Sandisk affects the product, if at all, but when it comes to hardโ€ฆ

The card started to glitch horribly.

First, this card is slow. For the amount of data it stores, it's stupidly slow. The two of them failed drastically, which meant a whole day of shooting went down the drain. This isn't the first time any part of Sandisk has done something like this and I have a feeling it wouldn't have been the last if I hadn't completely banned them from my home and studio following this incident. Kingston cards from now on, as they're fast enough, reasonably priced for their capacity, and not prone to dramatic

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Periodicity

Sandisk The best solution for computers and accessories

I usually stick to 32GB and risk 128 when shooting in RAW, but I can say I'll keep shooting at 32s or 64s, or who choose much safer 128, because within a few weeks of using it I received corrupted files, and not even then. I've been to several photo shoots and it scared me a lot as a wedding videographer and photographer. You can't push your limits and capture life's precious moments on an SD card that fails. That's my advice, take it with a pinch of salt and test yourself, but that's myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • No form needed

SanDisk has several cards called Extreme. The Extreme 90MB/s series replaces both the Extreme 60MB/s (16,32,64GB) and the Extreme 80MB/s (128GB, 256GB). This test compares the 32GB Extreme 60MB/s, 128GB Extreme 80MB/s cards and the new 32GB and 128GB Extreme 90MB/s Cards. The 32GB Extreme 90MB/s cards are an upgrade over the 60MB/s Extreme cards only in terms of read speeds. The card showed read speeds of up to 99,552 MB/s (Lexar SR2 reader). The write speed on the new card was slightly slower.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
