Review on πŸ“· SanDisk Extreme 256GB SDXC UHS-I Card (SDSDXNF-256G-GNCIN) [Updated Version] by Kyle Ahmed

Revainrating 5 out of 5

These are 40MB/s cards unless you buy 128GB or 256GB cards, which are 60MB/s cards (write speed).

At first I was happy to find such a cheap option with a write speed of 90MB/s. But after reading the first part of the product description, I found that they can only achieve write speeds of up to 60MB/s. Well 60MB/s is still great at this price so I ordered two! The cards arrived today so I decided to test one of them. I tested the card and found that it writes at less than 50MB/s. So I looked closely at the specs and found that only the 128GB and 256GB versions of the card ran up to 60MB/s; smaller cards - 40 MB/s. It's very frustrating to have 90MB/s cards and then find out in the fine print that the write speed (the most important speed for taking a lot of photos with a high-megapixel RAW DSLR) is only half as fast. So a star deduction for annoying advertising. Edit: The listing now clearly states write speed, hence returning a star. :)
