It's good but hot

If you use a flash drive for something with fast input and output, then this is for you. This thing heats up so fast and stays hot. I have a feeling that heat can melt its own components if you leave it on for more than an hour. Might fry your USB port too.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Style 90

Four distros and a rescue disk

Hey, it's Windows 10 baby! I'm using my damn rescue disk! ;-) And with the other four in the package we went on tour. Ubuntu, Mint, Manjaro, Pop. Sound familiar? So actively used and working very well at the moment. I will come back to this review if anything changes.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Reliable

Reading speed is good. The writing speed is not as advertised.

For my purposes (installing Windows from them) you can live with that. I will write to them once a quarter but read them several times a day. If it weren't for the project I need them for I would be returning them as they don't match the advertised specs. I have other Sandisk flash drives that meet the specs so I can only assume they are fake.

  • Quick replacement

  • Some cons

Best thing that ever happened to Firestick 4K

If you're looking to increase the storage capacity of your Firestick, whatever version you have. These are flash drives to use. They're very fast, and the Firestick will recognize them when they're connected. There is a lot of information on how to increase Firestick storage if you don't know how. Now I can download as many apps and games as I want and still have enough room for Firestick OS to stretch my legs.

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Only available in black

A little discount on the same old thing. It's cheaper elsewhere.

I buy a lot of flash drives for my customers. I've been on this exact model for a while now so it was nice to find a bulk pack that actually has a small discount on it rather than just the quantity times the price. You also get two straps as a bonus. EDIT: The straps worked. Now I buy direct from Everything But Stromboli. I don't have two day delivery but I save 5-10%.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I'll write later

Quickly. Smooth. To do this.

These have been my favorite USB sticks lately. We recently had a project to upgrade 90 PCs to Windows 10 over a three day weekend and I knew I needed reliable flash drives for the task. We burned a Windows ISO onto 15 of these flash drives (some with BIOS, most with UEFI) and got to work. Hard drives are fast when reading and writing. We didn't have any of these and I've used and updated them for months and none of the drives failed or gave me any errors. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

There's a reason they're so cheap. AVOID

I've tried every imaginable combination of formats and card sizes. Write speed STARTS quickly, but then slows down by 1 or 2 MB/s. No matter what format or cluster size (from 4K to 128K) I've tried, the results are exactly the same. I have an OLD USB 2.1 Sansdisk that is literally 12x faster in write speed. After literally EVERYTHING ADATA does, this is the worst purchase I've made this year. After some research I found that the slow speed is due to the write cache being too small so it stopsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Same as all
Cons
  • Poor set

Fast and inexpensive, but gets hot

These discs are inexpensive and fairly fast (see below for more info). They also look good, although the metal understandably scratches when inserted. My only concern is that they get very hot when in use, especially over USB 3.0. They don't burn or anything, but I've never had a flash drive (metal or otherwise) that did. (I also find the included "everything but stromboli" strap a bit odd, but it's neither here nor there.) *** Testing Info: *** I used the USB FlashBench software to verifyโ€ฆ
