This is NOT a genuine Santevia product! The grains in the five-stage filter were loose, which is the first sign. The plastic seal also had a small hole as if it wasn't properly sealed, not fake. When it works, it's great. the taste of the water is amazing. However the quality of the product has deteriorated over the years - more plastic in the ceramic filter, fewer stages in the 5 stage filter - and you literally have to order 3 or 4 as they break half the time when they arrive. The product is great and I've been using a desktop water filter for 4-5 years. We have lived in three different houses and the water it produces passes a blind taste test compared to tap water and Brita filtered water in each house. Well I've been using the Santevia Gravity system for about 6 months now so I need to order a new filter. I ordered this one and it arrived with the original Santevia branded packaging so I'm guessing I'm getting the original. Either way, here's the bad news.
