Waste of money at Clays & Doughs

Totally unsatisfactory, too sticky and even with release agent it doesn't come out clean from my molds. Too many cracks!

Pros

Cons

Good Average

So far this tone works as advertised. I use cookie cutters with it and it doesn't crack but warps as the cut outs are 3/16" thick. I just always give it the right shape. The big disappointment was that the clay in the bucket was covered in fine brown dust. I think it's dirt and not mold so I wash each piece before use.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • High Price

Funny stuff!

Very easy to work with, can be painted well, adheres well to itself and various other substrates, does not shrink noticeably. I tried it over a plaster base and it wasn't the best idea - the plaster wicked moisture out of the clay faster than the surface dried so it cracked. Experiment, live and learn. I still love this clay for decorating sculptures!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

Worst clay I have ever used

Clay doesn't stick to itself or anything else. It comes off in chunks and you really have to work to break the lines. Dries with many cracks. I even tried slowing down the cure time and it still dries with a few cracks. The overall performance of this product is terrible. Not worth the money I paid for the product and I'm not sure how to salvage the purchase/product. I've tried using it for several projects with very poor results. I will never buy this brand again.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
