More convenient to carry but

This jack is more convenient to carry and is said to be good up to 4 tons but even with experimental use I didn't feel it was as strong as the other plug we have : SATA Heavy Duty Service Jack (2.5T) - ST97813SC. This plug cannot be used on a roadside or unstable surface. This can be a problem as we are not used to bottle jacks.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • exchange option

Great Jack - Bottle Jack

As a kid, I used a bottle jack all the time on my parents' property. Lightweight and easy to move for all my lifting and working needs. This jack is identical to the one I grew up with and works just as well. I used this the other day by spinning the tires on our cars instead of getting out my very heavy jack. All in all a very solid socket. Nothing is easier than using a bottle jack.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Compact, easy to use, 4.7 inch jack, strong enough and stable

This "4 ton SATA hydraulic bottle jack” seems to be a pretty good jack for your car. It's much sturdier and easier to use than the tiny scissor jack your car usually comes with. I have a Toyota 4Runner full size SUV approaching 5000lbs/2.5 tons so this 4 ton jack will fit; You might be able to get away with the 2-ton version if you have a small passenger van, but you're probably better off getting this 4-ton version if you have a full-size sedan or SUV. Here are the key parameters Rise Height…

Very useful!: Bottle jack

I have a vintage trailer and I was trying to level it but it was very difficult to turn the simplest jacks. I've managed to jack up one trailer in small increments, then raise the base jack and go to the next, do the same, then start over again. I literally align it one lever at a time, but it's a lot easier to use it to lift a trailer and then adapt it to a standard jack before moving on to the next. Cheers to the hydraulics!

Beautiful bottle jack

Beautiful bottle jack. It's quite small, but serves its purpose. The extension bolt is also fairly short so the overall lift height was a bit less than I was hoping for, but installing a jack base on some 2x6s solved that problem. Also, it will not leak or settle until you open the outlet valve. Also, the base is pretty small so you'll have to make sure you lock the wheels so it doesn't fall off, it can't lean too much before it falls off.

Pros
  • Generates confidence
Cons
  • Piggy bank prize

Smaller than expected but works perfectly.

I've always used the larger version of this on my family's farm but I'm getting great results with a half size which is what I'm used to. It had all the power I needed. More recently I've used it to remove some tile shelves in preparation for granite. It's all screwed under the tiles so I just stick a 2x4 jack under it to slide them in and the screws come out easily. This is a standard bottle jack with a detachable handle used to move the outlet valve, but I would have preferred a one piece…

  • Could have gone for a newer model

It was covered in oil when I arrived

When thinking of a bottle jack or a floor jack, choose a floor jack if you have the space and can handle the weight. The reason for this is that bottle jacks are much more unstable. I've been using floor jacks for decades and have never used bottle jacks, in fact this is the first one I've used. I keep a 2.25 ton floor jack in my truck's tool box in case I ever need it on the road. Well when I first used this bottle jack the truck moved a bit and the bottle jack flew out and the truck fell back

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Hard to say
