We purchased this halogen bulb for our bathroom fixture and the difference is night and day. The bright white light is PERFECT for essential tasks like shaving or applying make-up... While it is more expensive than traditional incandescent bulbs the energy savings and longer lifespan make it worth it in the long run. Our bathroom has never looked better!

Very lucky to find this bulb at Revain. This is the strength I need and also the basis I need. My only problem is that it gets so hot. I bought this for a small lamp I bought (for my powder room) to use as an accent (nice when company is coming) but my concern is that the lamp will be open as the lamp is open at the top and the bulb is VERY HOT. Would not like to use it when children are visiting. Other than that, the lamp is exactly what this particular lamp needs, which is why I'm giving it 4
