Exactly what I ordered/needed as a replacement. But.

Exactly what I ordered and they arrived on time - good seller. A complete replacement for what is. However, I don't like these incandescent bulbs because 1) they need to warm up to full brightness and 2) they are not dimmable. But they came with a new home. I'd rather replace them with something else, like halogen bulbs that turn on and dim instantly.

Pros
  • Uses 75% less energy than comparable bulbs
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

As other reviewers have noted, the color is beautiful and goes well with a bathroom vanity. At low temperatures the time can take 15-30 seconds as mentioned but it was much better than the previous CFLs I've used. Overall it works great and 60W gets the job done! Edit: A year later, two of those bulbs blew out with minimal use. Called the company about their 2 year warranty and was utterly disappointed to be told the warranty only applies to Revain. WTF? Revain doesn't do warranty replacements,

Pros
  • 15-Watt Midbase
Cons
  • High Price

I have had 4 of these CFLs installed in my master bathroom for about 6 months now and have no regrets. These bulbs to replace old incandescent bulbs are definitely your best choice. I had to use round incandescent bulbs (or equivalent) as they are directly exposed and pivoting CFLs are not very aesthetically pleasing. The bulbs I removed were almost the same size and shape but they use a quarter of a standard bulb so the 4 bulbs I just installed give what only one of the bulbs could. The main…

Pros
  • Helical CFLs with integrated ballast
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
