I specially ordered my normal sized wide shoes for Saucony. I've been wearing them for years and know the size and fit well. Due to a recent foot injury I ordered a large size instead of a regular this time. When the shoes arrived they felt snugger than my old pairs. I measured both sole width and inside width of all 3 pairs and the wide size is actually narrower than my old shoes. In addition, the insole had almost no cushioning.
