Really bad cut, best at die cutting and embossing

Used deep blade holder and adapter as instructed, blade fits well BUT. This product gave a very poor frayed cut. No matter how I adjusted the blade, it never cut right. I made a comparison cut using the original Scan n Cut Deep Blade and this product with the same star design and paper. Look at my results in the photos, they speak for themselves. Have returned the item. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Test for one year
Cons
  • Crumpled

Does not apply to Brother

These are not Brother genuine blades and I have had problems. I replaced my old blade with this one and didn't try it first. I would recommend you do this. I contacted the company and although I had the blades for months before using them, they helped me a lot. My machine is 250 and is original scan and crop. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the newer ones have, and that's where user error comes in.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Available in black only

Really fits Brother Scan Cut

Hey, if you're looking for a Scan Cut adapter, give this one a try! It really works! BUT BUT! You need a purple blade holder, ie blade holder for deep cuts. NOT the blue that holds the standard blade. Purple is hard to find these days. Apparently no one is selling it anymore. When you really really want a purple holder and can't find it anywhere else. Send me a message. I have some reserves in case of a possible loss in the future.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • High price

Be careful. Read more about these blades

I would not recommend these blades at all! I thought it was a true Brother replacement but I don't think so. I replaced my blade with one of these - adjusted the blade depth and pressure accordingly and everything I cut broke. I wasted vinyl and a few pieces of cardboard with this blade. I compared it to the blade that came with the machine and it was longer. I added an image. The left is the product and the right is a Brother Blade. I wasted $18 and way too much material. Even when I cut it…

Don't waste money and time.

As hard as I try, they don't cut. They simply cling to the cardboard and rip it into pieces as if they were being cut with an extremely dull knife. You need to have a deep blade holder and once you put the adapter insert in this blade holder you can't get it out so you have to get another one to use Brother genuine scanner and cutter blades. I wouldn't recommend trying this, you'll want to scream in frustration. Spend extra money and order genuine Brother products. They're a lot more expensive,

Remain brand name OEM 27/08/18

Bought to replace the original OEM standard blade which had the tip snap off when cutting 10mm laminate which made a decision to raise the mat which caused the tip of the blade to break off, otherwise it cuts perfectly. Installed this aftermarket blade just for cutting regular vinyl, set the knob to 3, Speed 3, Pressure 0 (default). knife holder. The tip of the blade broke off, leaving jagged cut lines on the vinyl. Next time I'll just have to spend more to buy original blades. Both blades…

Why have I been waiting to try this!

Bought this two months ago to try and finally tried it after seeing it in my desk drawer while looking for a new replacement blade. I don't know if others have experienced this, but my regular Scan N Cut blade dulls quickly. I think this is because I use it for thicker items. Anyway, the reviews for this product were mixed so I thought what the heck could I try. I only use my Scan-n-Cut to cut vinyl fabric. Have never used it for anything else. I am amazed that these blades make a clean cut. It

They are not as long as the original blades!

ATTENTION! The shorter length is the manufacturer's blade that came with my brother's cutter and I've been using it for two years. I worked really well with different pressures and depths. All the longer this "new" purchase of two packs from this company. I thought it would fit because it is specific to my make of car. He broke the tip of the blade halfway through the project and left most of the pen stuck in my blade holder and I can't get the pen out. You can see the broken tip that is to the

crap, don't waste your money.

later Scrap I replaced the original blade with one of these and when I set it to the same depth of cut which was three the blade didn't even come out of the holder. It has been further adjusted to have the same cut as the Brother blade at setting 3. Eventually it reached 7 before cutting at the same depth as the Brother knife at 3. However, it didn't cut cleanly. I would rip the card and put it in a pile as if I were carrying a card without cutting it. So in my template there were holes here…
