I would recommend ordering directly from Schlage. I ordered 4 of these and none were right. 1 were someone's old doorknobs that they repackaged and sent back. 1 was broken and 2 were missing parts and appear to have been returned early as well. Quality control is poor and a waste of time when you could order directly from the manufacturer for the same price.

I bought five of these grips for home renovation and am very happy with them. The grips have a heavy feel and good resistance to rotation, giving a nice expensive feel. The finish is a true matte black which I think looks a lot better than the worn bronze. Matte black is almost impossible to find in stores and the price was better than anywhere else I could find.

My house has black trim, so I was obsessed with getting black door handles and hinges instead of bronze. The guy at the hardware store warned me about the black trim as he said it would scratch and the trim would come off. I did not listen. For 2 weeks my pins have been scratched and I can see the metal underneath. In the end I made a couple of bronze doors, there is practically no difference, and this option is available everywhere. Get the bronze version.

I can't say enough good things about Schlage products. I've gradually converted all my locks and knobs to slugs over the years and am very happy with it. The quality is excellent, IMHO. You can feel the reliability and smooth operation right out of the box. They are heavy but very smooth. They just feel solid. They're just as easy to install as any other similar product I've installed over the years (and I'm old). The instructions are actually written in English and easy to understand! = D

I ordered matte black Georgian style pens in all versions - Confidential, Passthrough and Dummy - and they all arrived as described. They are beautiful! As someone who wanted something different than the polished nickel or oiled bronze levers that all my friends have, I'm thrilled to have these classic and beautiful black knobs throughout the house.
