Great product and great fit. I had an old eye hammer that I no longer need and this one fits perfectly. Easy to install and looks high quality.

Too bad the picture didn't show how it was supposed to be installed. I wouldn't buy it. I don't like the ideal of having to drill a hole right through my new door. I was hoping it would be a short external screw

Before you buy this hammer, please note that you need to drill holes in the entire door! They don't attach with 1/4" or 1/8" screws as expected. no With my 100 year old wooden doors it is impossible to drill such holes. I have tried. I need a new hammer. What are you afraid of someone grabbing your hammer and running away with it? I do not understand. Big disappointment.

The door of the house I just bought had a very expensive brass door. However, they engraved their name on it, so I had to replace it. I've searched for something that matches the exact distance between the holes but to no avail. That's as close as I could get. I bought and installed this after missing 2 FedEx deliveries whilst at home. My doorbell works but it's upstairs and you can skip it downstairs in the kitchen. Our FedEx drivers have to wear foam rubber gloves because they're afraid they'll hurt their knuckles knocking on our wooden door, so I didn't hear them either.
