Description of 🎨 Schmincke Horadam Aquarell Half-Pan Paint Metal Set, Set of 48 Colors (74448097): Unleash Your Artistic Brilliance!

Superior quality, natural ingredients are carefully selected each year for every formula for highest optimization. Traditional formulas since 1881 are the same in pans and tubes. Formulas used by classic artists like Emil Nolde and Oskar Kokoschka. An optimal amount of Oxgall enables the artist to decide (and not the paint!) as to where the paint should flow moist or stay dry on the paper. 48 colors included in set.

Amazing water colors

Beautiful set. This is my first time painting with makeup and they are wonderful. This set is mostly all-inclusive, so shuffling isn't that big of a deal. Yes, it's expensive, but in this case, the price matches the quality. Very happy with the seller, they came well packaged and the delivery time was good.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Clarity

Favorite Watercolors - ALWAYS

I have a number of different brands of watercolors but these are my favorites. The colors are very bright and pure and blend perfectly when using a limited palette. They layer very well and the selection is very good. The kit includes a sheet that allows you to create a color chart. I had no problems with the container they came in. I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Annoying

These colors are rich and even, making a nice selection. Schmincke is hard to find in art stores so it's great that Revain makes these kits available. A limitation. I had to tighten the pans harder than in any other set. You can slide freely which is a shame as this is a street set.

Pros
  • A good thing
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Professional watercolor paint!

I almost didn't order the Schmincke Horadam watercolor because I thought it would be too much of a good thing for my new favorite hobby. but then I thought I was worth it! I'm so happy I got this. the paint is so smooth. I also use Daniel Smith and Winsor Newton which are also top notch. Schmincke is different and all three are fun. Schmincke is so smooth and easy to color that it's a pleasure to use!

Pros
  • Decent performance

Disappointing omissions in this set

Schmincke's Horadam line of watercolors is one of the world's leading brands and the quality of the watercolor cuvettes and tubes is fantastic. The 3 stars I'm giving here relate to the composition of the set itself. You'd think that this understandably expensive but "generous" 48-color half shell set from Schmincke would contain at least a few essential colors. The absence of RAW UMBER and COBALT BLUE was pretty egregious. Raw Umber is irreplaceable - it's one of the few single-pigment earth…

So far the colors are great! I can't wait to draw with them and .

I suspect that I misjudged these colors. A friend of mine, an incredible artist who paints almost every day, would tell you that he deserves at least a 5. I still open each color and apply a full dab to the corner of the box for that color and then dampen the rest of the box to get the full value into the water showing the tints and diluted values. So far the colors are great! I can't wait to paint with them and I have several paintings finished.

Pros
  • Formulas of classic artists such as Emil Nolde and Oskar Kokoschka
Cons
  • No execution

Creamy, bright, amazingly high quality colours! The choice of colors in this palette is exceptional. I love this color for many reasons, but in short, I love that you can paint thick and bold or translucent and dreamy and all sorts of shades in between and have a consistent, long-lasting color. If you love to paint on the go, on vacation, or in the park, you'll have all the colors you need and several easy-to-draw colors, including skin tones. The palette glass is the same as the Sennelier…

Pros
  • Traditional formulas since 1881 are the same in bowls and tubes
Cons
  • Some mistakes

Excellent color - pewter, not so much.

I'm glad I finally chose this color, it's just great. It's expensive, but I couldn't bring myself to spend $50-$70 on something if I wasn't sure. Subtracting that $50-$70 off the price made it better. The brush picks up so little paint that it can even out over time. I know a few primary colors are missing, but I can live with that. After weeks of reading blogs and watching YouTube videos, I finally hit the order button. 4 stars because of the can. There is another company that sells sets of 12

Pros
  • 48 colors per set
Cons
  • Off fashion
