I read the reviews before purchasing this shoe and am happy to say they did not disappoint. At the start of the school year I bought 2 pairs of Stride Rite boots but needed a pair of brown Mary Janes. I found this at Revain. Now I wish I had bought ALL my daughter's shoes in the school edition. These geeks are just awesome. After only wearing the Stride Rite once, the toe area is completely worn out. My 8 year old daughter wears a pair of shoes (black leather) to school for 7 hours every day for 4 months and I am happy to report that these are by far the most durable of all School shoes that we tried. I usually buy nicer shoes for school (e.g. Pediped, Jumping Jack, etc.). Our school's playground has fine gravel and is the only shoe that has stood the test of time.
