easier to use good for power tools and hand tools

I've only used this a couple of times since I bought it but I find it a lot easier to use than non ratchet wrenches and I find it more accurate as that Turning the handle does not move the faucet, especially starting the faucet.

Pros
  • is a pleasure
Cons
  • very expensive

Excellent collar after a little lubrication.

Have been using both sizes for a few weeks now. I had to add a few more drops of oil to the turning mechanism and threads as they creaked a bit. much smoother now. Much easier than 12 point sockets and ratchet.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Great wrench for everything you need to unscrew

I have a 4.5 inch model. The vise can barely grip half an inch and can grow quite large, over half an inch. I really like the feel of this instrument, it doesn't feel like a cheap crappy instrument. It feels solid when turning and you can get good torque from the push handle. It also fits in tight spaces.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

That works great. I would give five stars if.

Made in Germany. The ratchet doesn't have many teeth, so you'll have to twist it a bit to catch the next tooth. The "center" at the other end was not the center. It was just a retreat. I dropped the tool in my lathe and inserted a #2 center so I could use my taps with it. That works great. I would give five stars if the ratchet had more teeth.

Pros
  • That's awesome
Cons
  • Not sure

Ideal for thread repair

Not using this tool yet. But I was very happy with this tool. It's easy to use. Holds the beat well. The ratchet was easy to use. I have also found that replacement parts can be purchased inexpensively from the manufacturer's website. I used it to wrap my KLR bike's subframe. .

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Only available in black

good tool. need a case

Well made and keeps what it promises. Good fit and finish, smooth ratchet action. The description doesn't explain that there is also a non-ratchet option, so you can use it as a tight-grip wrench. It was too small for the 6mm STI (Heli-Coil) faucet I bought it for, but it fits a standard 6mm faucet. It would have been nice if a protective cover had been included. The push handle is taped to the shaft and can get lost in your tool box. I would buy other sizes but wish I had a dedicated drawer…

Affordable German quality

After a few broken Chinese made faucet handles I was convinced to spend a little more and get something better. The Schroder faucet handle is much better quality. The ratchet is very smooth and the difference in quality is obvious. They're probably average quality by German standards, but light years ahead of Asian imports. I've seen better pens but they're in the $50-60 range. This one at just over $20 is well worth the investment compared to the $10 junk you can get. Spend a little more and…

That is German; You can see the difference

When unpacking, you can see immediately that it is a German tool, not a Chinese or Indian one. It is heavy, well made and gives the impression of a quality instrument. However, my use of this tool is still very limited. I am a cyclist and wear SIDI cycling shoes with spikes and removable heels. The pivot is held in place by a small screw. The heel pad wears out and if you don't stay on it, the top of the screw wears out. At first you try a rubber band and a Phillips screwdriver, but it rarely…

  • Wrench

  • Slightly dented

Stop looking and buy the damn thing!

I have worked as a locksmith for many years and I guess due to my previous experience in this field I often create or alter (or repair) things at home. I've used a full set of wrenches and die handles and I can confidently say that THIS (3-1/2") ratchet is a bee's knee. Made in Germany, design, construction, fit and finish what you would expect of a German instrument, ie, at the highest level, definitely superior to all similar fakes (and you know what I'm talking about). In this case, you're…

Average quality, no better than alleged fakes

No better than the $10-12 version sold elsewhere on Revain and looks essentially identical to them. but lacks both design and quality. 1) It is designed for a wide variety of taps (from M3 to M8), but for smaller sizes, especially M3 or #4, it is too heavy and may warp or damage threads. made entirely of softer materials. The knurled area could be useful for precision work if it were on the bottom of the key and not where the palm rests. 2) The T-handle, as many have noted, has no central lock…
