Great for kids learning to cut

As an Occupational Therapist in the school system, I use them all the time with my students to teach them how to cut. The guard can be difficult to remove and put back on, but it's a good security feature.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Upgradable

Super Fine Motor Tool

Protective cap is very difficult to put on and take off. Otherwise they are great! Bought these for a preschooler who is working on fine motor skills. They cause far less frustration than normal children's scissors. Also great for left-handers!

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Poorly adjusted

I thought they were a bit bigger but they work very well. My left handed grandson loves them. Easier to use as there is no finger insert. We found that while he writes with his left hand, he prefers to cut with his right hand. He can easily move the scissors from one hand to the other. He's only 4 years old and still learning what he's comfortable with. Great product, highly recommend.

TOO HARD TO PUSH CLOSED BLADES

AFFORDABLE (I HAVE 2 FOR $16) IF IT WOULD BE EASY FOR A CHILD TO USE. IT SEEMS TO BE MADE OF QUALITY MATERIALS BUT EVEN AN ADULT CAN HOLD THE CLOSED BLADES HEAVY, let alone a CHILD. THEY ALSO SUPPLY WITH A KNIFE GUARD. I would give them 5 stars if they were easy to use. BECAUSE THEY ARE SO HARD TO HOLD IT'S WORTH NOTHING FOR THE KIDS I WANTED TO USE THEM. I SHOULD GO BACK AND LOOK FOR ANOTHER BRAND.

Pros
  • Kraft Paper
Cons
  • Crumpled

These are my students' favorite scissors; We practice cutting EVERY DAY, at least once a day, so scissors are used a lot. One pair holds up very well (blades are sharp, strap held its shape); The loop of one pair has formed a slight "crease" so the scissors aren't fully springy, but the blades are still sharp. The caps were fine for transporting the scissors but were discarded as it is very difficult to put the caps back on the scissors. . We store scissor blades at the bottom - works reallyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • cutting tools
Cons
  • some little things

Broke right after opening

I was happy to receive them in the mail today. My son is 4 years old and has motor and hand strength problems, it helped him a lot to develop his cutting skills. However, I pulled one out of the box to see that it opens and closes slightly just for the connector to click. This is the first time I have bought adaptive scissors. Don't know if they have a thin piece of plastic connecting the handles - I was expecting something more durable. I still have a pair to use but to say I'm disappointed is
