Upgraded my base F150 radio to a 2 din radio. This kit offers a clean look, unlike the Metra Dash Kit I tried first. This is a dashboard kit to upgrade your radio with two speakers. Despite the description, this kit also fits exactly on a 2014 STX with base radio.

I ordered this dash kit in the hope that it would only be a direct replacement, which I think it should be. The brackets that attach to the radio and hold it to the dashboard are not included in my kit. I had to go to Walmart and buy a kit for the 08 and modify it to work just as badly as it does now. I would like someone from the company to get in touch with me to fix the problem so I can have my radio fixed so it doesn't look as stupid as it should.

Bought after disappointment with Metra version. That hole in it fits a stereo much better, but placing the stereo where you want it is trial and error. It does not index the bezel. You are completely independent. The matte finish isn't as pretty as the factory texture, but I found it a bit nicer than the Metra. It also comes with a small storage compartment if you want to mount a DIN.

So looking everywhere everyone says this is the best aftermarket kit. I agree, for me it's better than the factory! But the included wiring harness is for older f150 models. It will still connect, you just need to find another source for the power cable. It was hard to find a 2012 wiring harness that didn't cost over $100, so I decided to give it a try. Received this with the Metra kit for my 2012 f-150 XLT. The workmanship leaves a lot to be desired and shows any markings or fingerprints that may be present. But goes well with the color and relative trim of the truck. Compared to the Metra, no decorative overlays were required and no extra gaps were left. This Scosche radio bezel is the best (imo) for 09-14 f150 body for aftermarket HU! I bolted this into my 12 f150 xlt with a kenwood dnx892 hu, it looks great and sits flush with the HU. I used to have a Metra that came with Crutchfield's 892 but didn't want the 1/2 inch bezel which was smaller than the bezel. It just looked weird. I've seen a lot of people saying it doesn't fit XL trucks. I was afraid it would happen but didn't worry too much about it. My truck is a work truck, no looks, so it doesn't matter if it's an inch shorter.
