I bought these to replace the wire wheel on my bench grinder. Works pretty well. Cleans great. Leaves a slightly different surface finish than standard wire. A little rougher, but on some issues I feel like I could polish it better and faster. I like it and it doesn't hurt like wire.

I don't know which I like better, these or the good old wire discs. BUT I will say that it is much safer than old school bikes. And you won't be left with spherical acupuncture needles when you're done with them. Wire is still best for cleaning screw threads, but I think it's perfect for everything else.
