Checks the size of large metric machine screws.

Like the other two screw gauges, the metric thread gauge #2 (8 mm to 14 mm) does the job. I checked out the other two more closely, mainly because I've used them a lot more than this model. I find it much easier to sort larger machine screws by appearance alone, especially when I have a well-known example. So I don't need it as much as SAE and small versions of Metric. This model works perfectly and does what it is supposed to do. Like the other two, it's about 1/8 inch thick, which is enough…

well made - exactly

This is my third Chek'r screw. My first is probably 20 years old. I have two smaller ones, both SAE and Metric. This expands my ability to sort and organize my metric gear. Since most, if not all, of our two daily drivers are metric, this tool has become a must-have. Like my others, it is well made. You can strip the threads if you try to put the screw in the wrong hole, but the idea is to carefully place the screw in the spot you feel is right. If it connects quickly, you're wrong. Send it…
