Cool Clay!

This is a slightly different clay than other Premo clays. The Mylar pieces that make up this Opalescent are quite large and sometimes produce a rough surface. This can be corrected with a little sanding. The base of this clay is translucent so do not bake at too high a temperature as yellowing will occur. Definitely worth having in your clay collection to create interesting opal looks.

It's so pretty with its rainbow colored bits and flakes

It's so pretty with its rainbow colored bits and flakes I was so excited to make little gems or add it to my sticks. This thing is terrible! It is brittle and cannot be processed. I kneaded and kneaded and tried to heat it up and work with it but it just wouldn't hold its shape. The date on the box is 2016 so it's not an age, I think the problem is the cereal itself. I would suggest adding pigment or glitter with a different tone because that tone isn't good.

upset. Don't waste money!

Terrible sound. Even after using all sorts of tricks to set the dry, crumbly clay, this clay was terrible. Aside from being hellish to work with, the finished product looks awful. Large pieces of rainbow foil or whatever are almost impossible to cut. If you use a metal cookie cutter, it won't cut through the foil. That way it just hangs on the shape you want. I tried cutting with sharp scissors and an Xacto knife before baking and all I got was the whole piece coming out and ruining the shape…
