The large drill bit is great, I drilled two holes in glazed ceramic tile to attach a shower curtain rod. The rod must penetrate the wall, not just the surface. I made a mounting template out of 1/4" plywood with a 1" hole in the center and glued it to the tile. Masking tape is not suitable for this. As other reviewers have suggested, while drilling, I used a damp sponge to drip a stream of water onto the wall above the drill bit. This worked great once the tile dust had been washed off and the…
These diamond drill bits work very well. The problem some people have mentioned is the difficulty of starting a cut without having to "walk" the saw over the surface they are trying to cut. I had to drill through the bathroom tile to install the railings. Before I started drilling the tile, I cut a 1" hole in a 3/4" thick board that was about 3" (width) x 6" (length). I then ground down the hole to make it a little bigger, allowing a 1 inch saw to just about easily go through. When I was ready…

I got these bits, drilled holes in the bottom and now I can use all my lovely pots! I also find a lot of great clearing suggestions when people pass pots with no holes, but since I can drill my own, no worries! It's very easy and I've made at least a dozen already, so here are some tips if you're hesitant to try it yourself: 1. Choose a training…
