This is a cute case! I loved the idea of the wood pattern, but I was skeptical about how I'd like it in real life. I thought it might look really cheesy and plastic-y.I really like it! Love the veneration with the case! The wood is soft and mushy which isn't what I was expecting but I am okay with it since it helps the grip on my computer when I carry it around and it doesn't want to just slip out of my hands. Other cases I have use in the past are glossy and they tend to slip out of my hands which on an expensive computer is NOT a good thing! The top corner clear elastic bands broke after a month of normal use. My MacBook Pro 2015 with Retina Display is a bit smaller for this case so it keeps sliding down out of the strap. I like to look of it, but in term of functionality it's not up to par.
