We took it on a five day kayak trip and hopped from island to island. In the case of maps, our maps and other necessary information remained dry. But it was very easy to open it, flip the chart and close it again. Attach it to your boat's rigging so you never lose your charts or have to fetch them from a dry bag in big waves.

Great real world app with this product. I used it for military training and was very impressed. Velcro straps allow you to fold the map for easy storage. Holes in the corners make it easy to attach a carabiner or hook. The only complaint I have is the zippered part. Very difficult to seal. But when you finally get it, you can rest assured that the card is waterproof.

Strong zipper, requires strong fingers but is really waterproof. No leaks when submerged in the kitchen sink for an hour, no leaks in a kayak for a two week trip. So far durable. Pretty clear plastic. The convertible versions aren't waterproof at all and leak almost immediately when dunked in a sink and onto a wave-swamped kayak deck. I wish there was a size up for the large charts and large solar arrays.

I use this bag to keep maps on my canoe. TPU clarity is excellent. Didn't realize it had velcro to keep it semi-folded - that's a nice bonus. I like the ability to pause it in landscape mode, although I haven't tried it yet. There are no leaks yet. Easier to open and close than my previous tablet (different design). I can't comment on durability until I've ridden it on longer trips. If it were cheaper I would give it a full 5 stars.
