🔍 Seachem Purigen 19179 - Ultimate Filtration, 2.1 oz/100ml Review

As a new buyer in the Pet Supplies category, I was blown away by the Seachem Purigen! It works wonders in my aquarium and has improved the water quality tremendously. As a result of my tests, I determined that it is highly effective in removing impurities and keeping the water crystal clear. The best part is that it is long-lasting and can be used multiple times. I bought two Fluval tanks with huge internal filter cartridges - plenty of room to add whatever filter material you want on top of the sponge, rings and carbon that come with the kits. After reading great reviews about Purigen I bought a pouch for one of the filters. The problem is I don't know what it really does. The water values are good and stable before, during and after using Purigen. I ended up replacing it with an ammonia absorbing bag.

I have a 29 gallon tank of plants. But not everything was as clear as we would like it to be. I love tannins, but you don't have to eat them. It was a little difficult to get a shot without glare, but you get the point. I've never had such a clear system! In a planted freshwater aquarium, Purigen will not affect the nutrients available to your plants. I don't think I can stop using it now because of the ease of use and the benefit of being so clear. Money well spent!
