Description of Seachem 256 Gold Buffer 10 6

ENVIRONMENT: Gold Buffer is a non-phosphate buffer that will maintain the ideal pH for goldfish while not enhancing algae growth. RAISES PH: Depending on the dosage, Gold Buffer raises pH and buffers between 7.2 and 7.8. SAFE: Gold Buffer is gentle, safe, and enhances the freshwater environment. Contains sodium, potassium, magnesium, and other bicarbonate salts. USE: For further goldfish environment enhancement, use Seachem’s Gold Trace to restore the proper level of trace elements and feed Seachem’s NutriDiet Goldfish Flakes for healthy, thriving goldfish. DIRECTIONS: Use 1 level teaspoon for every 40 L (10 US gallons) daily until desired pH is reached. If water is soft or not well buffered, use half dose. Gold Buffer will slowly raise pH, it will not lower pH. It may be added directly to the aquarium.

Fishy Fishy Fishy: Fish and aquatic animals

This piece is a must! Useful every time a new aquarium is set up, the water is changed, or when the chemistry gets a little weird! *Always check all chemicals before adding anything! Big changes, some fish - small changes can potentially kill your fish! So it's best to add the buffer slowly. I enjoyed this product. Maintaining the balance of chemicals in the aquarium is much easier than without.

Use this, goldfish love hard water

This is a great product. It easily dissolves in water. My tap water that I tested is around 30 dKH, too soft for goldfish and mystery snails that like alkalinity closer to 150 dKH. The only problem is that the lid was removed when I received it and the product spilled into the box. I was able to pour everything back into the bin, it looked like a clean box. Shippers should tape the lid or test securely before shipping. So 5 stars for the product, 1 star for the shipping.

It's a great buffer

I don't understand the other weird reviews on this product it does exactly what it's supposed to do and I've been using it for the last year with great results means your carb is low, which in turn can lead to an unstable PH value. Using half a dose of Gold Buffer will add the necessary minerals to stabilize your water and keep your PH level constant. If you have a very low PH along with soft water this will bring your PH down to around 7.8-8.2 when using the full dose. You must know the PH…
