Essential for the pH of your cichlids.

It seems to have arrived a day early. This salt is exactly what you need in a cichlid aquarium. Even if you use an African cichlid sand mix to help maintain the pH, depending on which lake your cichlids come from, this salt will raise the pH to the right level for your aquarium. Excellent goods. For the record, my salt cap on my glass was perfect.

Excellent for adjusting the pH of aquarium water used with Seachem.

Excellent for adjusting pH in the aquarium when used with Seachem Malawi/Victoria Buffer. It can stick together if you try to put it in cold water, so I fill a separate cup with fairly hot water and mix it up first, then pour it into a bucket of water, which I end up replacing with aquarium water. This allows it to completely dissolve in water without forming lumps.

  • Handy

  • Definitely a bad product

The cichlid is irreplaceable! in fish and aquatic animals

A must for growing GH in cichlid aquariums. Doesn't deplete as quickly in my tank as some of the other buffs I've used. I use for my Tanganyika cichlids. I add the full dose when I line up new tanks and adjust as needed. For reference, my faucet is 3-5dGH. A full dose for my 10 gallons brings this to 12-13 dGH. I do 50% water changes every week. After 2 weeks it drops to 9 dGH so I mix 1/4 dose with new water every other week and it goes back to 14-15 dGH.

Call from the FBI!: Aquarium Water Treatments

The fish seem to like it, just measure what you need and you'll be fine. The problem was the delivery which should reduce this to one star. This item came with the lid already unscrewed and everything was spilled. White powder drips out of the box with my name on it! I got arrested and my house was torn apart by the FBI and the engineers blocked the street. So my message to the seller is: Please tighten the lid and maybe even tape it off, because looking for a cavity sucks! Okay, that was a…

Cichlids are happy no cloudy or irritated gills

Great product, I have frontosa, mbuna and peacock cichlids and spotted catfish and all my tank mates are healthy and happy. I've been using this with every water change for over a year with no problems and no cloudiness. I always add salt to the nasal filter so it dissolves slowly and doesn't irritate the fish. I recommend using this product if you are serious about the welfare of your cichlids. This is especially useful if your tap water in your area doesn't have a high pH, as cichlids prefer…
