With the adhesive pads supplied, they were glued without any problems. They are about two and a half meters above the tracks. Our small dog is enough to call them, which is perfect. I bought these lights 4 months ago in February and was very happy with the installation. Motion detection and brightness work as expected; well at least for 3-4 months ie I use Duracell batteries and they drain the battery way too fast. When I come home from work in the winter, it is often so dark in the evening and our black mailbox is very deep and sometimes the mail gets lost. This product worked great! Bought 2 sets of these lights; only six. The lights are approximately 4" in diameter and 1/2" deep. The headlights are made of plastic and the bezel is painted silver. I installed 4 lights in a wine storage room in my finished basement. Each flashlight requires 3 AAA batteries (not included).
