Protects against water

this is a cork for a boat, what can I say. It is easy to insert, easy to tighten, does not let water through and in the end it is easy to loosen and remove. (Freshwater, Lund SSV 14)

Pros
  • a practical thing
Cons
  • negative is available

Works with plumbing fittings

I actually bought this little guy to stop a small jet leak in a pool filter housing drain. Of course I could just swap the ball valve, but I didn't want to do that. I plugged this connector in, tightened it and it works like a charm. I have no complaints it works for me until I decided to change the ball valve.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something inside

Good looking fork. in Plumbing

Bought as a replacement because I got the plugs because I took the old one out and couldn't find it after repairing the boat. Losing your memory is terrible. I've tried it and it fits in and out well, tightens well too, should work great when needed. Deleted the old one found a day after receiving the new one.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Goes great with my DIY snail hopper

I was looking for a solution to make a removable drain plug for a snail hopper I made from plastic containers. It worked great! Just drill a 1" hole and you're done. I like that there are no gaskets or plugs to raise the water level before draining. It is a great solution for DYI auger hopper manufacturers.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Some nuances

Robust construction. Better than AL, who came in a boat.

Factory aluminum only lasted a couple of rides before it came loose with minimal effort. It's a cheap piece that keeps my wells from leaking and most importantly keeps my boat from leaking. ;-) 10 miles from Lake Michigan, I'd rather not sit behind the controls of an airplane with the bilge pump on or manually fill up with water.

Pros
  • Nice thing
Cons
  • Legacy model

Make sure this fork is the right size for you

Before ordering, make sure you know what you need and cheaper isn't always better. I drilled a 1" hole in my pontoons and thought I needed this plug but it was too small. I had to order a 11/4" plug. This is all because I didn't have a tube to go in, I was just trying to insert a 1/4" thick plug to keep that plug from swelling and breaking . Technically it wasn't designed to do what I wanted, but while it's still cheaply made I give it a 3 out of 5

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • No instructions

Perfect for 7/8 " drain pipe

I installed this drain plug in a 7/8" drain pipe in my below deck ski room to isolate it from the bilge. and it fits perfectly. I was concerned about what size to buy after reading many reviews, but this plug fits at least a 7/8" hole and also fits a 1" diameter hole well. If you take it off frequently then a flip top closure might be more appropriate, but in a place where it's only occasionally taken off, this works just fine. The quality seems great and I don't expect any problems. with…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not all will fit
