Resqme Safety Car Kit

Hope I don't have to use it but it's inexpensive and could save lives. If the window had to break, it will be checked after repairs, and the insurance company may cover the costs. I think it depends on the circumstances.

Pros
  • Saving lives around the world for over 10 years - certified and tested
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Thanks donut! in Escape Tools

I still carry a grip-sized window punch. Of course, you've always worried that a prisoner you transport into the county might snag him and use him as a weapon. Then I heard a donut operator talk about it in one of his YouTube videos. I have to say this is one of the best devices I have ever bought. It's small, light, and fits my duty belt without getting in the way of my other gear.

Pros
  • Seat belt cutter and car window regulator
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Great design, good security

Bought to replace a large first generation hammer I bought years ago. It was on my keychain which was bumped and knocked every day with no problem. Lightweight, durable molded plastic feels solid. The window breaks with great force, and the blade is perfectly withdrawn to the side until needed. I didn't give 5 stars just because it wasn't tested under real emergency conditions. Let's hope I never have to.

Pros
  • Made in the USA
Cons
  • Hard to tell
