Works well, good fitment and finish quality.

Works fine. Good fitment of threaded shackle pin. Good quality finish.I used these to create a chain step to make it easier to get on and off heavy equipment (log skidder). I used 3/8" grade 4300 chain for the step. These shackles attach the chain step to the machine. The intention is that the shackle (1/4") will fail in the event the chain step (3/8") gets caught on something while the machine is moving.

Pros
  • Exactly what I needed, and pretty well made.
Cons
  • The HIGOOD 5/16" Anchor Shackles could be too bulky and heavy for those who are looking for a more lightweight option

Short Shipped: my feedback

The seal on the plastic bag containing the shackles failed and one of the items must have fallen out before it wa included in the box. I ordered and paid for 4 and only received three. The website does not do s very good job in guiding a customer on how to proceed in such a situation.

  • While the pack of four pieces is convenient for those who need multiple shackles, it may not be the most cost-effective option for those who only need one or two

Very useful in my review

Bloody things are quite useful to have around. How useful? After they came I realized I had ordered the wrong size, and kept them anyway!Yes. I ordered the ones I needed.

  • Great for my use, I would buy again if needed.
Cons
  • Some users may find the 316 stainless steel body and pin material to be too prone to rust, especially if they plan on using the shackles in harsh outdoor environments
