Description of Secure Your Light-Duty Transport With SmartStraps 10-Foot Ratchet Straps - Green 2Pk With 1,500 Lbs Break Strength And 500 Lbs Safe Work Load.

SAFELY HAUL EQUIPMENT: With a break strength of 1,500lbs and a safe work load capacity of 500lbs (calculated as 1/3 of break strength), you can trust SmartStraps 10-foot ratchet straps with your light loads hauled in pickups, including dirt bikes, ATVs, lawn tractors and more. EXTRA GRIP STRENGTH AND LEVERAGE: These light weight ratchet tie downs features an open style, ergonomic flared handle for maximum leverage, which means you can be confident in your ability to strap down your equipment safely without losing your grip. KEEP YOUR EQUIPMENT IN TOP SHAPE WHILE HAULING: Protective hex caps help keep the ratchet mechanism clean and prevent grease buildup on your hands and cargo. Sewn-in soft tie loops keep metal away from your load to avoid scratching paint, so your equipment does not sustain damage during transport. SMARTWEB TECHNOLOGY: Webbing is stronger and more abrasion resistant than standard tie-down webbing and is pre-threaded to help prevent accidentally feeding the webbing from the wrong direction. Extra-long webbing is provided on the attachment end for hard to reach anchor points. EASY AND CONVENIENT STORAGE: Securing strap makes it simple to tie off excess webbing or keep your straps bundled after use. SmartStraps come packaged in our innovative, reusable EcoCase for organized storage between transports.

You get what you pay for.

First off, I know how to use ratchet straps. I own several sets of them and use all the time. These are the worst ratchet straps I’ve ever bought. I fought with this thing under my truck to released the tension and finally cut them off and threw them out! Put on a different set of straps and had NO problems. You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • SAFELY HAUL EQUIPMENT: With a break strength of 1,500lbs and a safe work load capacity of 500lbs (calculated as 1/3 of break strength), you can trust SmartStraps 10-foot ratchet straps with your light loads hauled in pickups, including dirt bikes, ATVs, lawn tractors and more.
Cons
  • The price may be too high for those on a tight budget

You lose a star for misleading the consumer

Your title is misleading! Any consumer is going to read it as 1 strap is capable of securing 1,500 lbs. When it's actually only 500 lbs per strap. I wouldn't have bought these if your advertising was clearer. :(

Pros
  • EXTRA GRIP STRENGTH AND LEVERAGE: These light weight ratchet tie downs features an open style, ergonomic flared handle for maximum leverage, which means you can be confident in your ability to strap down your equipment safely without losing your grip.
Cons
  • The 1,500 lbs break strength may not be sufficient for larger loads

SmartStraps or nothing.

I only use smartstraps; once you start using them you won't go back. I used to have a set of 4, 14 ft 500# models and 2, 10ft 1000# models, but recently switched to all orange (to keep mine straight from family), and now only have the 1000# models, since i found some in 10 ft and some in 14'.

Pros
  • ‎Bikes,Tractors
Cons
  • The straps may be too short for larger vehicles, requiring the purchase of additional straps
