I had Sekonik for a week and accidentally broke the front glass. Called the company and they said I had to ship it to Japan and it would cost at least $400. Do not buy this device if you expect support. The guy told me there is nothing I can do to help you during this virus. I get it, but what a terrible attitude. Very unhappy.

Yes, the touchscreen is terrible (you have to press hard). Yes, it's really hard to see during the day. If they could fix those two things, that would be perfect. But even with two warts, it's better than anything else and you won't regret buying it. You can easily check the sun calibration at noon. Mine was top notch. Took this to my first shoot thinking I could use it to color match my Aputure 300X with Magic Hour Shot for a little front light. I got the wrong gauge (I also have a Sekonic Speedmaster L-858D-U) so I stuffed this into the big pocket of my cargo pants. About an hour into filming, I stumbled backwards, rolled onto the floor, and somehow the gauge fell about 14 inches out of my cargo pocket. The display cracked and when I turned it on there was no light. The plastic case was also badly scratched
