I use Sena 30K headphones. I just traveled with two friends who use SMH10 headsets. Many times when I tried to connect with friends using the remote control, my headset would immediately turn off. Sometimes the remote worked as expected, but this was an exception.

Drove normally and fairly normally this morning. The RC4 drove off immediately and as I tracked my ride thanks to the camera on my helmet I found what was left of it. Completely shattered and destroyed. Stayed less than two months. I suspect the flimsy plastic yoke simply cracked and fell off. Sena requires a mounting ring to secure the device if the clip fails. Otherwise you'll lose about $120! Very disappointed with how unreliable this product is.

I really wanted to like this remote control. I was happy to have a remote control that allowed me to keep my hands on the wheel and give me quick access to take a call or turn the volume down or up. Unfortunately, this is not an intuitive remote control. Even if you press it correctly, it doesn't react! A little difficult to set up. When I found out that in order to pair it with my 20 I had to go into the menu function and scroll down to the remote setup function which linked it straight away. I was surprised that it is held on the bar with a strong spring mechanism and doesn't snap. On my Concours 14 I used one of the straps that came with it before attaching the RC4 and it held up well. I bought a Schuberth C4 helmet with a built-in SENA Communicator. The buttons on the helmet were useless so I bought it hoping it would be easier for me to manipulate the buttons. Well, this thing is FANTASTIC! Now I can switch music, make and take calls, and change the volume. That means you have to learn how to press the buttons and it takes a bit of getting used to, but it totally exceeded my requirements! Also, I've seen some people complain about the weak hinge. remote control works great. It runs all the way down one side of the steering wheel and doesn't interfere with other controls, at least on my Harley. Management is easy, what you need and nothing more. Battery life lasted from August when I installed it to February when I tested it for the 2021 ski season.
