Awkward to connect

I spent two and a half hours plugging light bulbs into my Echo. I also interacted with Alexa chat. Absolutely disappointing. It's not three steps like it says on the box. You must activate the skill. To do this, you need to download the Sengled app (half-star app). Create an account (if you can figure out how). Sign up if you're lucky enough to get that damn account, then activate the skill. Back to the Alexa app... and so on. I'll try again... tomorrow. I am tired. At this point it would be…

When the Terminator future comes.

.I know Alexa is tired of me asking her to turn the light on and off. First: It's 5 Hz. I had to send back the old 2.5 Hz fixtures. First you need to check the signal of your router/modem. Most importantly, I never knew it would change my life. The more I use them, the more I love them. After ordering these, I immediately ordered 8 more (no kidding). Easy to use but dim

They work as Bluetooth controlled LED lights without the safety risk of the WIFI CREE bulbs (total failure) which I bought the same day. I got the Singled LED up and running in under 5 minutes. Setup and management were easy. The BIG bonus is they didn't need email to track my activity and usage, didn't need to set up an account, didn't need ALEXA or GOOGLE DOTS SPOTS or anything. or other internet spying components, nothing more was required than downloading the app and connecting!
