🏎️ Pace Setter 70-1188 Black Performance Exhaust Header Review

Not suitable for 2wd. Looks made for 4WD. The construction was solid. I just wish it was for 2WD or sure it was for 4WD only.

When installing this product in my Toyota Forerunner 86 5 speed transmission, the manifold hit the housing bell and the housing bracket will not buy this product again.

Major modification required to suit application stated to be suitable. The head hit the gearbox and the 02 wiring was not the right length. It required drilling a new plug for the O2 and extensive modifications to the manifold and exhaust system. Definitely not screwed.

Well I'm replacing my previous pacesetter header because it's rusted through. But I wrapped it in exhaust manifold foil that traps moisture. So, this time I won't wrap the header. Also, I'm glad that all the necessary fasteners and gaskets are included in the package.

My only complaint is that the manifold rests on the gearbox but this does not interfere with correct installation and the gaskets in the kit are paper and very cheap. I still really like the title for the money and I was able to get it right.

Received headers fairly quickly and that's probably the only good thing about this order. In addition, the downpipe with bolts on the O2 connector. Now for the bad; 1) Manifolds need to be sanded and repainted with high temperature paint, otherwise they will rust quickly. 2) Pads of paper (junk) so I had to order good pads. 3) The oxygen sensor (o2) connector was welded to the connecting pipe to the downpipe which caused the O2 sensor to be out of the exhaust stream. I am very disappointed in this hat. First things first, when I took it out of the box I had to sand all the paint off of it and then paint it with high temp paint to keep it from rusting. The instructions on the box said the paint on the manifold was only needed to prevent it from rusting in stock.
