I bought Seven Potions Beard Wax after reading rave reviews online. However, I'm not a fan of smells (especially when I'm locked in my COVID face mask). When you first scrape it out of the can, there's a graininess that turns me off. Although the sand will dissolve if you heat the product in your hands. This is a great beard balm or (wax as they call it). I have used many balms including some expensive "styling balms". It gives more hold than any "heavy duty" balm. What I like is that it's as hard as mustache wax in the jar. It's hard to cut, I only use one tool. I have about 2 inches of beard. A nickel-sized amount is great for my extremely unruly hair. I have tried different brands of beard wax. The seven potions work best for me. It sticks well, doesn't stick and doesn't have a strong odor. Smell is obviously subjective as some people are more sensitive to smells. For me it doesn't smell much at all compared to others. Several other brands I've bought have made my face flush. Portion sent very small for the price. 1 ounce of wax is not much. The hold is consistent with many "balms" I've tried over the years that give off more product. Unpleasant smell of the product due to refusal to add flavors. Other than that, it does what it says, which is why I got multiple stars.

When I first saw the name Beard Wax I was a bit confused because I used Beard Balm and Mustache Wax. That's exactly how it looks like. Wax for a beard! A more specific description is beard balm and mustache wax. The wax is exactly as advertised. This gives your beard a strong hold that won't leave your beard crusty and sticky. Gives good shape but doesn't shape. So if you are looking for a handlebar mustache, this beard wax will not work. As I said, there is great hold but your beard stays nice
