🦈 SharkBite 24626LF 90 Degree Hose Bibb, 1/2 inch x 3/4 inch, Multi-Turn Brass Valve Review

I've been using Sharkbite products for a while, but only indoors. Until now I didn't know that Sharkbite has outdoor products. This faucet for my outside hose replaced a failed soldered faucet. Removing the old faucet required using a flashlight and some work. After preparing the copper pipe I just put in the shark tap and got it done in 5 minutes. You must try these products. Very reliable.

I really like the Sharkbite fittings, they are easy to use, no need to solder, they can be removed and reused, they don't leak. Another important feature is that you can have copper on one side and PEX on the other side of each fitting. Although not required, I bought a deburring tool to mark the tube to make sure you inserted the tube all the way. After installing this valve to replace an old leaking assembly, what I noticed the most was that there was no flow. I've checked the Sharkbite website and literature for information on bitrates, but they don't like to share that information. Much luck! I got this in the mail and it works so easy. Just press and done. Yes, just put it on the right tube and you're done. Is it magic or science. Note, however, that this will not work with PVC pipe. PVC pipes have a larger outside diameter. It works with all thin-walled tubing such as copper, PVC and XLPE tubing. Replaced a hose faucet and added a second one on the other side of the house. I don't like check valves and I don't need a freeze proof faucet so I grabbed two of these. Both install just as easily as you would expect from Sharkbite and there are no leaks. I don't care what the title says, it's WRONG. I didn't measure the angle exactly, but closer to 100-115 degrees. I had to make a 1/4" to 0" wedge washer to get the 90 degree angle. if you really want 90 degrees, IT WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT THE SEAL. Very disappointed. but a breastplate with a flange at true 90 degrees I don't think is there. I wanted my timer to run on it, pointing straight at the house.
