weak engine. Best in Wall Cabinet Systems

After loading all my ties on it, the motor wasn't powerful enough to move the rack. At first I thought something was wrong, then I realized that the ties were too heavy. Very disappointed.

Motorized tie clip is fine

I bought two of these for my husband. Neither of which will work if he attaches zip ties to each of the rungs because the total weight seems too heavy for the motor. If he ties all the other staves, then one works very well (i.e. spins quickly, doesn't slow down after a few seconds, and doesn't seem to work under weight) and the other works well but is slow and seems to have trouble spinning itself to move, and that the small motor could not take it. Was surprised that: 1) for the price none of

Weak motor.: Clothes and closet storage

After loading all my ties on it, the motor wasn't strong enough to move the stand. At first I thought something was wrong, then I realized that the ties were too heavy. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Running

Very weak motor for storing clothes and wardrobe

This is my third Sharper Image Tie Rack - I use two. After 10 years, the original drive belt broke and I had to buy a new one. Unfortunately, this new model is not as good as the original. The motor just doesn't seem powerful enough to get the job done. The old one was fast enough. When you turn this on, the motor will sound like it's struggling to move the belt and slowly crawling forward. I'm not optimistic about durability.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Not as good as the old one

I have two other earlier models of these tie clips. The one I bought 7 years ago is better than this one. I'm not sure why the new one is doing this, but when you press the switch to start spinning, it starts out normal but slowly starts to decrease at the rate that keeps decreasing until it finally stops and the lights go on go out. If you then press the stop button and run again, it will start running at full speed and repeat the same dance. Since I rarely have to make a complete turn to find

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Useless features

Motorized Tie Rack Fairly Good

Bought two of these for my husband. Neither of which will work if he attaches zip ties to each of the rungs because the total weight seems too heavy for the motor. If he ties all the other sticks then one works very well (i.e. spins quickly, doesn't slow down after a few seconds and doesn't seem to work under weight) and the other works well but is slow and seems to be having trouble, to move, and that the little engine couldn't take it. Was surprised that: 1) for the price none of them worked…

Pros
  • Great Overall Performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
