Optimized External Diameter Chamfering by SHAVIV 29147 Review

We are a small company and make threaded shank tools. We buy them in 12ft pieces and trim them, leaving a sharp edge/burr at the end of the stem. We bought this to smooth it out, unfortunately it didn't work for that purpose. We returned the item and received a refund promptly.

Works very well and stays sharp even after thousands of low speed cuts. Highly recommended. You won't get a nice symmetrical bevel like you would on a lathe, but it does an excellent job of deburring and adding a small bevel after cutting blanks on a bandsaw.

Although this tool works very well with parts 1/4" and larger in diameter, the product description states it is up to the machine #6 deburred screw, that's the main reason I bought it. I work a lot with #6, 8, and 10 mounting screws, cutting them to length as needed. I can use it for larger workpieces up to an inch in diameter, but to work with a #6 screw there needs to be a hole in the center of the tool that goes through the threaded hole on its back end.
