It was easy to set up as the insides of the original key fob matched perfectly. Although not as thick as the original, it comes with a connecting chain that perfectly fits the new FOB to the key ring.

The case is ok, the internal spring holding the battery is broken. I didn't send it back, just used the bottom of the old case and the top of the new case as the top of the old case was broken. I got it working - not worth sending back.

My original case was broken in the key chain hole so it couldn't be fixed. This case solved the problem. My old electronics were installed in the new housing and work perfectly. I had to reprogram it, although this isn't a problem with my '98 Tacoma because it's user-friendly.

This shell went well with the 2001 Tundra key fob. My husband dropped the original before it had to be glued together. Nice. With the second shell I bought (for a different key ring with lanyard) it was easier to put together as I figured out how everything came together for the first replacement.

It's not exactly the same as the original - it doesn't have a Toyota badge and the screw hole is plastic instead of metal like the original, but it works. I was able to easily remove the original keyboard and put it in the new case. Including new screw and chain. I kept the original chain as it is slightly better than the stock chain.

This case is a direct replacement for my old Toyota key fob outer case. The tab that attaches the keychain to the keychain is broken and cannot be repaired. Much cheaper and easier to just buy a new case. No need to reprogram or worry about new remote compatibility. Simply insert the old working casings into the new housing.

So glad I happen to be looking for an outer shell for my 99 Camry. My original case was broken and stuck together. Not so good, I would like to add that you have to work with two buttons. The local locksmith wanted to make me a key/box for 3 figures. When I received this case I followed the simple instructions to take the electronics out of the old case and slide them into the new case and snap them together. To date there are no problems.
