Very nice material: cables and connections

As expected and thanks for that! Again, as expected, this cable is more than twice the thickness of UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable, about the thickness of RG6U coaxial cable. This works very well for my application. Fast delivery and the price is right.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Great cable a bit pricey for what it is and the spool

The cable itself is a bit expensive just to get the wooden spool but well worth it in the end as I put the spool on and then let Take it is cheaper to wind the cable on the spool yourself. The wire is great for what it is, but it ends up being too stiff for all the up close things that are expected of this Category 6 shielded cable, but honestly I think there is a way around this to reduce as I used a similar quality and was much easier to work with.

Pros
  • is shiny
Cons
  • Factor Set

A tough cable that's hard to beat!

Really good cable. It's so thick and heavy that it's hard to do away with Ethernet. I used the patch before and it worked pretty well. Make sure you have the right tools to handle such a thick cable. I have several cheaper cables and it weighs half as much.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Long wait

Great cable! on Cables & Interconnects

I use this cable around the house, it's tough enough to go through walls but flexible enough to be used for patch cords. Twisted pairs are fairly tight and can be awkward to straighten for installation in an outlet, but on the other hand, tight turns reduce electrical noise significantly. Good shielding, insulation and separators. I would buy it again in a heartbeat in New York.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Periodicity

Unusual cable design

Total foil shielding is exactly what you need—durable foil, not metalized mylar. Underneath the film is a transparent plastic (insulating) film. Under the foil is a thin tinned ground wire and four twisted pairs separated by a plastic groove. I don't understand why the ground wire is needed as it is insulated from the screen film. An efficient and reliable shield connection will be problematic.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Works great.

I had to hardwire ports throughout the house through the attic as WiFi is a problem in a large house. It is thick and durable Cat6. It was a bit tricky to wire up as I didn't have much flexibility, but I got it working and my house is connected!

Pros
  • As everyone still does
Cons
  • Clarity
