From day one, if it's a hot day, the adhesive on the top of the shift knob will leak out and get on your hand. Yes I live in Florida where it is very hot but this is unacceptable, this has never happened with the original shift knob. Technically it is suitable for shifting, but not optimal, it is too small for that. The main problem is the daily leakage of glue.

Arrived on time and fits perfectly! However, I live in Phoenix, Arizona and it gets hot here. When the temperature reached 90 degrees, the glue inside the handle melted, my console became a mess and stuck to my hands. If you live in a cool climate this is a great product. If you live in a hot climate, don't even think about it!

This shift knob is a half inch or a full inch longer than the standard knob. I think mine is about half an inch taller than stock. That's great. It's obviously not coming from the shifter itself, but the extra half inch made shifting my '05 Mustang a lot easier than the stock and jacked shifter. I was amazed that the half inch that made the short layer longer made it even easier. but it happened. Despite that, I didn't apply Loctite or crazy glue to hold it in place, but it's still a solid pen.

So far so good. The original knob started to wear out after about 180,000 miles. The feel is a little different than the original, but it didn't take long to get used to. Easy installation until you fit the factory boot around the bottom of the grip. The original pen was also difficult to remove from the case. Suggest to put the cuff over the shifter and install the cuff on the bottom of the knob, then screw the knob onto the shifter and be careful not to wrap the cuff around the shifter when…
