Good cycling shoes for beginners

Today I received my sneakers and immediately took them to test. FYI, I'm new. I wear men's 8.5. I bought 43 euros and they fit great. I have a wide foot so they were a bit tight but no more than any other shoe I've had. I rode 10 miles and my feet felt good during and after the ride. No doubt they will stretch a little and be even more comfortable. My toes had plenty of room and didn't get caught in the toe of the shoe. They support both types of cleats, synthetic upper as you would expectโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Very good! Broad legs are friendly.

I'm new to the cycling peloton but not new to buying wide shoes. As a guide, I'm a size 12. When I buy mesh-style Nike running shoes, I need to go for a roomy version or go up a size. Looking at several brands and models in this style of shoe, none struck me as very friendly. What's a Bigfoot supposed to do?! Feeling like I could just play I decided to just pick a look and hopefully some reviews. In other words, I came to the conclusion that maybe I should just buy it and try it - maybe a fewโ€ฆ

Great shoe, wrong size

Bought these for me and my partner in sizes 38 and 41 euros respectively based on the size chart on the Shimano website (we did heel to wall on paper and measured that way and then use that number to select the size). The material was great, the quality of the shoe was great and seemed well made. We tried them on and found them a bit tight but thought maybe it was because they were brand new. After about 2 weeks of wearing they still felt a bit too tight on the pinky toe and the toe box wasโ€ฆ

Very happy for shoes

At first I didn't expect to buy these shoes. Woman uses bikes at her gym and mentioned she needs clipless pedals for her outdoor bike at home. Well, I can't tell one from the other on these pedals. I go and read about them. I buy SPD-SL pedals - I was under the impression the bikes at their gym had them. Well obviously I was wrong and it was SPD just like their shoes that don't accept SPD-SL spikes. So you had to buy either SPD pedals or SPD-SL shoes. I really didn't want to return the pedals -

Pros
  • Excellent general properties
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

A very confusing situation.

5 stars based on first impression only. let me explain. I have an 11" foot and the 11.5" shoes fit great. However, this size is a little hard to find and sometimes the shoe can be too tight. Plus, where I live, I have huge legs compared to the locals. So I found the size 12 does the job well, with a little more wiggle room inside. Using these numbers is not a problem. I should note that where I live they tend to use EU sizing conventions. Just like Japanese. I got three different answers toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Great fit. I'm 10 1/2 and I ordered.

Great fit. I'm 10 1/2 and ordered a 45. Shipped on time and arrived when I needed them! MAKE SURE YOU BUY OR OWN THE SM-SH40 ADAPTER! I'm new and didn't understand this. Luckily my local store has them. This brings me to my only criticism. The lug screw stopper seems to come loose easily. This means that the screws are too short in this case. And it happened on one of my shoes. The guy at the bike shop was able to get me going with a couple of bolts that were a bit longer. The problem was thatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
