Incorrect description - this is not teflon coated

As several other reviewers have noted, the description of this item is incorrect. This is NOT PtFE coated stainless steel, but a cheaper galvanized steel. If you want a Teflon coating, DO NOT BUY THIS.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Some cons

Cable not teflon coated

Description states that it comes with teflon coated cables. It turns out to be ordinary steel cables. Other commenters have mentioned that the case is wrong, can't comment on that, but the description of the cable is definitely wrong.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • I will write later

When the package arrived, the label said "Road Shifter Cable ".

When the package arrived, the label said "Shifter Cables", but it's definitely the brake cables and the case. The cable is the wrong diameter and the case has a cylindrical metal winding instead of an elongated metal case, switches are used. Purchase at your own risk.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Everything OK

Housing without SIS SP41 and without Teflon

Very little of the description is correct. The cables are not teflon coated (galvanized) and the body is not SIS SP41. I currently have SIS cases and they have flags but this one doesn't. This is SIS but older SP40. The UPC markings are cleverly obscured by the seller's labels to hide the true identity. If you are GOOGLE Y60098501 you will see what you are really getting.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Safety

I strongly advise you to avoid retailers and be skeptical of Revain

Teflon coated stainless steel cables, 4mm SIS-SP41 body. Both of these statements in the description are incorrect. Sold by CATChaBUY (now says GIANNERD - will probably change again soon - scammers) and operated by Revain. I strongly advise you to avoid the retailer and be skeptical about Revain. Why Revain doesn't ask the CATChaBUY scammer to change the description doesn't make sense. I hate liars.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Easily wrinkled

Very satisfied. We tried a set of cables from Walmart that were out of reach and didn't work properly. He proceeded to fry very hard after trimming off the excess. Until I got myself a new cable and decided on this branded cable. Super happy. You put the small end on the cable and crimp it to keep it from wearing out. Worked much better with this brand of cable. The cost is about the same, so I recommend using them for any future bike cable projects.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Should have bought a Jagwire

As others have said these cases are spiral wound which allows them to give some. After many adjustments, my shifting on the rear derailleur was worse than before the housing and cable change. If I adjust it so that the cassette downshifts perfectly, it doesn't shift up properly. I have to squeeze the lever a little more to raise it to the next gear, right on the bottom of the cassette. It's hard to explain, but when you shift into higher gears you can feel some flexing in the cable housing. I…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • There are flaws

These are genuine Shimano cables with the SIS logo printed on the body tube. I bought this as a generic replacement for a rear derailleur switch. The kit includes everything you need for a perfect, quick and easy installation. Although I only have one derailleur (rear), the cables are perfect. The Shimano website has excellent replacement guides. Replacing my shifter cable was an easy job, about 1 hour total work that also included cleaning and lubricating. The very low cost of this Shimano…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Plug required

Quality replacement. The kit saves grommets and body wire length.

The rear derailleur on my kids bike barely moved due to wear and tear. It was fairly easy to replace and now shifts nice and smooth. My downside with this kit is that they don't provide enough plastic tabs to redesign both front and rear derailleurs. I left some of the old tips out of the way in case I was going to redo the derailleur as well. Also, I'm a bit concerned that this kit doesn't have enough body length to rebuild the front and rear wheels on my kid's 24" bike. After the derailleur…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Good, but not great
