Based on other reviews I may have received a defective item. I read other reviews and they were mostly good so I decided to buy this work shoe but this work shoe was causing me pain in my feet. serious injuries (see photos). Water easily got into the shoes and I felt severe pain in my legs, mainly in the toes and instep. The shoe met my expectations, although I chose to put a thin gel insert over the one that came with it. I also sprayed the shoes with a waterproofing spray to protect them from splashes. The shoes are not real leather.

I've had shoes since May 22nd and now it's August 12th. There are no signs of wear or damage to the shoes. They work pretty well, but I recommend shoe inserts because after a while your feet start to hurt. Trust me, I work long shifts at work and without pads it's going to hurt after a while.

This is the fourth pair of shoes we have tried on for my husband who works as a dishwasher. The shoes he used to wear typically lasted less than 2 months. These have held up really well and we bought a second pair to replace in the winter and they don't dry as well as they do in the summer. The included cleaning tool is a big plus as it comes home with tons of food scraps in it. These will definitely be our shoes for him next time we need to buy them.
