Yes, I use this "non-recommendation". Our house is very dusty due to where we live. This is one of the few ways we've found to "stay ahead" in the fight against dust. It clogs and I also clean it by blowing air inside out (against recommendations) but about every year it needs to be replaced. Great product, good price, does what it promises.

Ideal for dusting drywall in combination with heavy duty bags. Also suitable for general dust removal. The latter has lasted me about a year of heavy daily use, although I probably should have replaced it sooner. Sometimes I took it off, wrapped it in a garbage bag and dusted it off. Do not wet this filter, especially if used to remove dust from drywall. Moisture causes dust to collect and dry on the filter, blocking airflow. However, it's $5 cheaper at Lowes.
