This case fits great and will not slip off like the previous "foam" fitted by the previous owner. The engine doesn't sound tight like a clogged filter, it has enough air space to bleed the vacuum properly. I use this with a full size ShopVac desiccant bag and it works much better with a case. I tried to find one at my local hardware store that sells Shop-Vac products, they didn't have one, I asked why there weren't more and was told Shop-Vac was no longer in business. Shocking News. So I found this item at Revain, the description says Shop-Vac brand, it arrived in a clear plastic bag with no tag so I don't think it's actually a Shop-Vac item. I forgot to check what I was vacuuming in Shop Vac. Now that I've made the mistake of not looking, I'll correct my mistake and order a wet filter and a dry filter. The Shop Vac should have some sort of little sliding window on the top of the machine, so maybe it slides blue for water and then green or brown for solids. This way you don't have to open Shop Vac to check it. The slide window shows you what's inside. Provided you choose the right foil color when changing the filter.
