Ok to start the crap show this thing is the poor at best machining. The v didn't cut all the way and on the other side it is way deeper but wasnt sanded. Which lack of sanding is fine but why have the v cut at all? The front of the stem is also really off center, or the bolt holes are off center. The bolt holes are also not all drilled to the same depth which bugs me and coukd have something to do with the bars slipping even with a suspension fork. If you like a quicker steering and a more upright ridding position then a shorter stem is the trick. This one seemed like a great value for the price and it was. It made my steering a lot quicker, which I like. That might not be for you so keep that in mind. The piece was nicely machined and I didn’t have any issues with fitment.

I like to ride my bike in an upright position to avoid back strain. I could have ordered a swept back handlebar but with this it only took a minute or two to install (arguably, backwards as I brought my handlebar 3” closer to my seat) and I didn’t have to transfer all my attachments. It also allowed me to add a small accessory bar where the handlebar used to attach, which is helpful as my handlebar has limited accessory mounting points. I’m very pleased with this purchase.

I got the 60mm length version. This replaced my stock 90mm stem on my Giant Talon.Pros: Light, 4-bolt design, seems strong, easy to install, good looking(from a distance), graphics are decent.Cons: Mine has a very small "booger" on the top surface, just outside where the stem cap goes. It doesn't affect the function at all. Did not come with any torque specs.Overall for the money this is an awesome stem. Time will tell how it holds up but I am satisfied right now.

Great stem for the price so far. Fit perfectly and really brought my handlebars back a little bit. I'll know in time if it's strong enough to handle my type of riding

This worked perfectly on my son's mountain bike. He can now easily reach his handlebars! The quality is just as nice as the one that came on his 450 dollar bike.

Does the job and got my handlebars closer and feeling better. The piece itself feels sturdy but i reused the screws i had, other reviewers have noted the ones included are weak and prone to stripping

Got a couple of these for my kids 20” Hotrocks. My kids are on the small side and they were reaching pretty far forward while riding. These brought the bars closer and got them much more comfy. Nicely constructed and feel very solid. Highly recommend!

My posture on a used bicycle had me leaning forward. Bad form can cause hand numbness within minutes after getting on a bike. Since I knew the problem, I simply had to find a solution and this was it! By swapping out my longer handlebar stem for this short one and making a slight adjustment to the handlebar height, the result was a more upright riding position, one of the key things to prevent hand numbness. Purchased this 25.4/32mm stem for my kid’s 20” Riprock and the stem sits better and is higher quality than the stock stem. My kid looks more comfortable and is no longer raked from the handle bars. No brainer purchase!

You can't beat this stem for the price. It seems very well made and has done me well for about 6 months thus far. My only complaint is that there were come little nicks on the black powder coat finish revealing the silver aluminum beneath. I didn't care too much, as they were very small but flaws none the less.

Hasn’t broken off, so that’s a great start to a review, especially since my dad borrows it too. I can absolutely see how these don’t give you much leeway when it comes to over tightening them. Not suggesting that you don’t toque them to proper specs, but if you try to "feel it out,” be careful if you ate spinach before. They use very soft metal. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I knew an aluminum stem would be better than my old steel one. The Wake 25.4 Stem was easy to install and made my ride smoother. The 32mm / 60mm length was perfect for my mountain bike, and the black color matched my bike's aesthetic. The only downside was that it didn't come with any instructions, but it was still an easy installation. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their stem.

This stem is nicely made and a great price for what you get. I was able to shorten the reach on my 9 year old daughter's bike, which has made her ride much more comfortable.

Strong, fits correctly, one of the bolts doesn't seat properly but has no affect on the overall integrity of the stem. Finish is decent, logo is okay, adjustment markings were nice to see as well. Perfect for getting the bars a bit closer to you on older mtn bikes.

Fair warning, I used to do a bit of CNC machining.OK, so the quality of this is exactly as expected for this price point. Unfortunately, there is an error in the CNC program or one of the CNC machines has some worn items, the work piece wasn't fixtured correctly, or something else happened, because there are two nice "flying-V" cuts on both sides of the stem. This stem is perfect! Needed to shorten up the reach for a bike for my sister it had a 70mm long stem and was just too much. This transformed the way the bike fit her, and improved handling. Amazing value too.
